Romans 15:4-5, “For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus…”
This morning I pray for my marriage. That through the perseverance and encouragement you give, that Mr. S and I may be of one mind according to your Son. This world seeks to tear down and destroy marriage, your beautiful workmanship. Through you, and only you, will a marriage live and thrive according to your precepts. I ask that today, you be glorified in my marriage. That you give hope and graces sufficient for today, so that we may joyfully sing of your righteousness. (Ps 51:14)
Today, I also ask for your hope for other marriages. That your righteous hand covers those which are in turmoil, and anguish. Through your holy word, and your sanctification, a person can be made whole. I ask, whatever is standing in the way of you, be removed, broken down, and cast far away from your sight. I pray for reconciliation.
Thank you for the works you’ve done in me, and my husband. Without you, we are nothing. Sinners, lost and dying. You alone are worthy of the praise and honor.
